Crumbs – Fundraiser Is The Icing On The Cake!

Young leaders marked the end of a successful year of activities with a delicious cake sale to bring in vital funds for charity.

The sale, which raised money for breast cancer charities, was the idea of Year 7-into-8 student Maja Cabaj after her family was affected by the disease.

She roped in other young leaders to help with the plan and the students organised the very successful sale entirely themselves. It was a real community effort, with the pupils encouraging their relatives and friends to make cakes for the event.

They sold cakes during Key Stage 3 break last week and pulled in a very impressive £71.50 for charity.

Mr Mincher, who runs the Young Leaders programme, said: “I love it when our young leaders take the initiative – this is exactly the sort of scholarly behaviour we are keen to encourage here at Moseley Park. I’d like to say a huge well done to Maja and her friends – they worked very hard and it was a brilliant success.”
