Crumbs – Fundraising Proves To Be A Piece Of Cake
Kind-hearted students cooked up a storm – and raised £70 for charity during just one break time.
Isabella Wilkes, Tianna Downing and Liyana Shaikh organised the event themselves in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The trio, who are all in Year 7, sold the delicious treats outside the hall during break. They were inundated with customers – and other students, who simply wanted to make a donation to the charity.
Mr Mincher, who is Head of Year 7, said: “The girls showed excellent scholarly behaviour in organising this event themselves.
“It was really heartwarming to see Year 7 and 8 students buying each other cakes and others just donating their money. It was a really lovely moment. The girls should be proud of their efforts to help others – which is part of our vision in Year 7.”
