End Of An Era As Student Leaders Pass The Torch To New Recruits
Moseley Park is preparing to say goodbye to its current group of student leaders who are leaving Year 11 this summer, as a new crop of youngsters gets ready to step into their shoes.
The leaders – Michelle Aboagye, Alana Delgado, Hannah Parker, Lashae Dinham, Holly Taiwo, Anna Lockley and Faith Andrews – have been involved in countless events since the programme began three years ago.
The group, who will be greatly missed, have proved to be an enormous asset to the school, delivering assemblies, guiding parents around the building, organising charity events and putting on whole school events.
Now a new group of Year 7 students is waiting in the wings to join the leadership programme. Hannah Peate, Emmanuel Elie Jr, Isabella Wilkes, Liyana Shaikh, Tianna Downing and Jamie Poole, will make their debut helping out during Year 6 induction at the start of July.
Mr Mincher, who runs the Young Leaders programme, said: “It really feels like the passing of the torch. We’re so grateful to the Year 11 girls for everything they have done for the school. They were the first students to join our leadership programme when it was brand new and they have helped to make it the success it is today. Their commitment to the school has been second to none and they have inspired those students who will follow them. We wish them every success in the future.”
