Selected students and their parents were treated to a special performance of a theatrical production to equip them with the tools they need to increase their skills of resilience.

The Superpower Within was delivered by Gazebo theatre company in association with the Headstart initative. The show, which is the brainchild of drama therapist Debbie Agnew, focuses on building resilience both inside and outside of school.

Parents were also offered some strategies to try at home with their children and given information about parenting workshops and further opportunities available through Headstart. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the show and students commented about how important the message was that was delivered through the production.

Miss Jones, who organised the event, said: “This popular show didn’t fail to impress our students and families. We thought it was very exciting and rewarding and look forward to working with Headstart in the future on other projects.”
