Pupils Get Creativity Down To A Tee

Talented sixth form students made their mark as they visited Wolverhampton School of Art.

Year 12 and 13 students spent the day at the University of Wolverhampton to learn about the importance of the creative industries.

They had talks from university lecturers, an insight into life at university and a design employability talk. Students then had the chance to join in a visual communication workships using the art school’s industrial printing presses. They all came away with A1 screen prints and a hand-printed t-shirt.

Mrs Holland-Bright, who organised the trip, said: “It was an invaluable experience for pupils studying BTEC Art and Design, giving them a first-hand insight into careers in the creative industries and further education courses.”
