Remembrance Commemorations As Students Honour Fallen Soldiers
Students have been taking part in a host of activities to mark the sacrifice made by British and Commonwealth servicemen and to raise money for this year’s Poppy Appeal.
Year 7 Excellence Academy students planned and led Remembrance assemblies for Key Stage 3 youngsters last week, whilst poppies were sold around school to raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion.
Meanwhile, the Art Society also created their own pieces to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian personnel who have lost their lives in the service of their country. Their work involved pieces about identity linked to Bilston and Remembrance-themed art.
