Coastal Clean Up As Central Sixth Students Take Social Action
Students from across Central Sixth descended on Weston-super-Mare for the day to help rid the town of litter.
The day of social action was part of their programme with NCS, which has seen sixth formers participate in a variety of activities from team building and climbing to speaking skills workshops during the last few months.
After litter picking the promenade and seeing some landmarks, students spent a few hours enjoying the seaside before heading home.
Mr Fitzgerald, who organised the trip, said: “It was great to see students from Moseley Park, Heath Park and Coppice all working together to make a difference. I was very impressed with how much litter they collected – we were even thanked by local residents for helping to clean up the town.”
