Congratulations As Mrs Brackenridge Heads To The House Of Commons
Moseley Park’s loss is Parliament’s gain after Deputy Headteacher, Sureena Brackenridge, triumphed in her bid to become an MP.
Mrs Brackenridge, who has worked at Moseley Park since 2021 after moving from partner school Coppice, won Wolverhampton North East for Labour in last week’s General Election.
She secured 14,282 votes, to win by some margin as the Conservatives suffered heavy losses across the West Midlands.
Headteacher, Mr Morgan, said: “As a Moseley Park school community, we wish Sureena all the best as she embarks on her journey into politics – and with that a chance to shape educational policy in support of our young people moving forward.”
