Life Pathways – Discovering Me
Children’s Author and Advocate for Parents and Educators Emma Whitehouse visited Moseley Park to deliver a session to Year 7 focused on: confidence, strengths and belonging.
The session opened up thoughts and conversations about what the children learn, where they want to go in the future, what they love to do and who they want to be. Please see pictures of our students spending time creating their mood boards.

This is a gentle, reassuring story for children with busy brains and the adults learning to understand them.
Charlie is a kind, curious little boy, but sometimes his feelings feel too big to manage. When things get overwhelming at school, Charlie keeps meeting the Time Out Troll…a grumpy character who appears whenever behaviour is misunderstood and emotions aren’t heard. As Charlie learns to understand his feelings, and the adults around him begin to listen, something important changes.
With warmth, humour and a sprinkle of magic, Charlie and the Time-Out Troll shows how understanding a child’s emotions changes everything.
A comforting story for families of neurodivergent children, written with lived experience, love, hope and gratitude.
This beautifully written and illustrated story helps children.
