Moseley Park Hosts Exciting Gopher Science Outreach Days

Moseley Park Academy was delighted to welcome pupils from Woden Primary School, Woodfield Primary School, and Villiers Primary School for a series of five exciting Gopher Science Primary Outreach Days this term.

The sessions, supported by a grant from the Royal Society of Biology, gave primary students the chance to explore the wonders of science through a series of hands-on, interactive activities. From investigating the mysteries of colour-changing cabbage to exploring the fascinating world of sharks and butterflies, there was plenty to spark curiosity and inspire young minds.

What made these days even more special was the involvement of Moseley Park students from Years 8 and 12, who took on the role of science teachers and demonstrators. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and leadership shone through as they guided the younger pupils through each activity station, helping to make complex scientific concepts both accessible and fun.

The outreach days were a huge success, with all pupils thoroughly enjoying the chance to learn in a new environment, try practical experiments, and connect with older students who share a passion for science.

Moseley Park Academy would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Royal Society of Biology for their generous grant funding, which helped make this initiative possible. We are proud to continue building strong links with local primary schools and look forward to hosting more exciting science experiences in the future.
