Moseley Park STEAM Club Inspires Future Scientists Through Primary Outreach
Yesterday, pupils from Years 7 and 8 at Moseley Park Academy proudly represented the school as part of the STEAM Club, delivering an exciting primary outreach event at Woden Primary School.
Our pupils led a range of engaging, hands-on science activities for Year 6 pupils, giving them the opportunity to explore key scientific concepts in a fun and interactive way. The session was designed to spark curiosity, develop confidence, and encourage a love of science as pupils prepare for their transition to secondary school.
The event was made possible through the generous support of the Royal Society of Biology, whose funding enabled the school to purchase Gopher Science equipment. This equipment continues to play a vital role in enhancing both in-school learning and community outreach opportunities.
It was fantastic to see our Year 7 and 8 pupils take on leadership roles, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills as they supported younger learners. The event also provided a valuable opportunity for Year 6 pupils who will be joining Moseley Park Academy in September to meet current students and begin building friendships ahead of their transition.
We are incredibly proud of our STEAM Club pupils for their enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to inspiring others. Events like this highlight the importance of collaboration between schools and the positive impact our students can have within the wider community.
We look forward to continuing to develop these outreach opportunities in the future.
