Pupils Are Positively Primed For Effective Exam Revision
Exams may be fast approaching, but Year 11 students got a head start with their revision thanks to a special workshop.
Youngsters enjoyed getting practical advice on how to prepare for exams as well as revision techniques and stress management tools, as they look towards their crucial GCSE assessments this summer.
The fun and interactive workshop was provided by Positively You with the aim of helping students to manage their workload, retain information and overcome mental blocks.
Presenter Alan took students through a range of skills, including metacognition and the Leitner system to stimulate a positive attitude towards assessment and exams and provide them with an effective toolkit to support their revision.
Mrs Brackenridge, deputy headteacher, said: “It was a fantastic day with lots of engaging ideas to help students to focus their revision and enhance their learning. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned a lot too.”
