Sights Of Second City Inspire Sixth Form Art Students
Students explored the vibrant street art and intriguing waterways of Birmingham as part of a project based around the urban environment.
Post-16 students travelled to the second city last week in preparation for their BTEC Unit 4, which will see them creating a project based around city landscapes.
Accompanied by Miss Watson and Miss Holland-Bright, the Year 12 and 13 Art students collected photographs and sketches for their work, based around the vibrant architecture, waterways and culture of Birmingham.
The trip took in many of the sights of the city, including Grand Central Station, Digbeth, The Mailbox, Brindley Place, the Ikon Gallery, Symphony Hall, Birmingham Central Library, Centenary Square and the Museum and Art Gallery, followed by a trip to the famous annual German Christmas Market.
