Sixth Formers Brave The Elements On DofE Trip
Sixth formers braved torrential rain and enjoyed glorious sunshine as part of preparations for their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award.
Students and staff spent three days and two nights camping and hiking on Cannock Chase this week in preparation for their main expedition next year.
Despite the heavens opening on the first night, the group persevered and learned how to cook using camping stoves and other survival skills.
Mr Howe, who led the trip, said: “It wasn’t the easiest and the weather was against us at first, despite it being July. Nevertheless, they showed resilience and team spirit to push through. I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
