Street Doctors Help Students Learn Emergency First Aid

Year 10 youngsters learned what to do in an emergency situation as Moseley Park played host to a Street Doctors event.

The programme teaches young people – who are likely to witness violent incidents – how to call for help and what they can do before the professionals arrive.

Students gained valuable first aid skills which they can now use should they find themselves in an emergency.

Street Doctors has been running across the UK for 10 years, but the session was one of the first to be held in the West Midlands.

Miss Jones, who helped organise the session, said: “The students were a credit to the school and completed the course effectively. A huge well done to our pupils who now have some vital life skills that they can take with them out into the community.”
