Taste Of University Life For Excellence Academy Students
Key Stage 3 youngsters found out all about university life as part of a programme to help them make aspirational decisions about their futures.
Members of the Excellence Academy visited the University of Birmingham to experience undergraduate life and find out more from current students.
And as an added bonus, the students also took part in a geology trail around the Lapworth Museum – where they explored one of the UK’s most outstanding rock, fossil and mineral collections, through a range of innovative and interactive exhibits.
Mr O’Keeffe, who led the trip, said: “We want to make sure our youngsters feel they can make aspirational decisions for their future. The choices they make throughout school could affect their options for further education and they need to be aware of that right from the start of their time with us.”
