Culture Day
Moseley Park students recently participated in a vibrant Culture Day, showcasing the rich diversity of cultures and traditions from around the world. The event was a huge success, offering a variety of activities that engaged students and broadened their cultural horizons.
Among the highlights were the patwa, and bhangra sessions, where students tried a few moves to the sound of the dhol. The workshop brought a taste of India to Moseley Park, complete with saris and bhangra music.
In addition to activities such as the highland games and iconic building making, students also took part in a workshop learning about the history and culture of Bilston. This locally-focused session provided insights into Bilston’s industrial heritage and its contributions to the region, fostering a sense of community and pride among the students.
The day also featured an array of cultural performances, food stalls offering international cuisine, and arts and crafts sessions where students created traditional artworks from different cultures. These activities not only entertained, but also educated students on the value of cultural diversity and inclusivity.
Overall, Moseley Park’s Culture Day was a memorable event that celebrated the richness of various cultures, bringing students closer together through shared learning and fun.
