Young Readers Look Forward To Starting A New Chapter

Delighted young readers will soon have their noses in a brand new tale after receiving tokens as part of World Book Day.

All Key Stage 3 students were given the special tokens during their English lessons this week.

They can be taken to local bookstores and exchanged for one of 12 special World Book Day titles, or alternatively used to get £1 off a book of the student’s choice.

This year’s books include Alex Rider: Undercover, by Anthony Horowitz; The Day We Met The Queen, by Onjali Q Rauf; and Split by Muhammad Khan.

World Book Day, which is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and reading, takes place annually in March.

Miss Wild, who is the school’s Reading Champion, said: “Students were delighted to receive their tokens, and are already busy deciding which book they will choose. Moseley Park is pleased to be able to support our pupils as they develop what will hopefully be a life-long love of reading.
