Golden Girl Hannah Scores Chance To Present Premiership Award
A Moseley Park student proved she was on the ball after being selected to present Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo with a top Premiership honour.
Hannah Parker, who is in Year 7, was chosen to hand over the Premier League Manager of the month award for September following her work with the Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation and Premier League Primary Stars. The initiative runs in primary schools to help students improve their performance in the classroom – Hannah was a star pupil on the programme during her time at Lanesfield Primary School.
The 11-year-old spent the day at the club’s Compton Park training ground, meeting members of the team and even being interviewed by the assembled journalists before she presented Nuno with his award.
Nuno said the award meant a lot to the club. “It represents the effort of everybody working here in Compton, everyone in Molineux, our fans, the players, everybody,” he added. “It’s just, there’s no individual prizes in football, everything comes from the team. Everybody is in the pack, like I say – everybody’s inside the pack”.
